Covid-19 Update

As the Prime Minister outlined in his roadmap to relaxing Covid 19 restrictions, holiday cottages were allowed to reopen on 12th April 2021 and we have been taking bookings from that date. However, despite restrictions being eased somewhat recently, we have not been officially informed that our existing measures to combat Covid 19 should be changed in any way and accordingly we are still implementing the procedures outlined below, in order to ensure the safety of our guests. We hope you understand that we would rather err on the side of caution, until we are officially informed otherwise.

Our ‘normal’ cancellation policy is as described our terms and conditions, however our COVID-specific policy is that, in the event that you have to cancel the holiday (for example if, due to restrictions, you are not allowed to travel and/or we are not allowed to be open) we will refund your payments made to that date in full, or the holiday can be 'slipped' to a future date where possible.


We are pleased to say that we have been awarded the "We're Good to Go" Covid 19 Industry standard Kitemark for a second year.

The safety and comfort of all our guests is always of paramount importance. However, during these uncertain times we all need to comply with Government rules regarding COVID-19 security, and we would like you to help us ‘do our bit’ to abide by the advice and guidance from the hospitality  industry, to help minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

For our part, we have made the following changes to our usual procedures:

 There will be a full 30 hour gap between guests departing and arriving to allow for even deeper cleaning than normal. This means that:

                   There will be no same-day changeovers

                   Check-in will be delayed to 4 p.m.

                   Check-out will be brought forward to 10 a.m.

In line with others in the hospitality industry, we will require guests to supply full names, addresses and contact details in order to support the NHS Trace and Test system. If requested, this information will be deleted after 21 days.

In addition to soap dispensers in the kitchen and bathroom, a hand sanitiser will be available by the front door ( the containers themselves will be sanitised between guests). We would ask you to please use the hand sanitiser whenever you come back into the cottage after being out and about.

 As you are aware, the rules on the wearing of face masks and social distancing have changed but until we receive official guidance, we will wear face masks when we greet you on arrival and whilst showing you around the cottage. It is entirely at your discretion as to whether you do the same

Notwithstanding the above, we really do hope that you have a very enjoyable stay with us; Shropshire is a wonderful place to visit and we’ll do our utmost to ensure you have great time.
