.......more about The Cottage at Little Springs Farm

Little Springs Farm Cottage is the perfect retreat from the hubbub of modern day life. A truly peaceful location for a romantic break or a base for exploring the surrounding area. The Cottage is detached, and situated at the end of a long driveway, 50 yards from the owners' house.

The Cottage was awarded Tripadvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and Tripadvisor’s  “Travellers' Choice” award for 2020. Tripadvisor's award scheme was suspended in 2021 due to the pandemic but we look forward to qualifying for future awards as they become available.

Located in Shropshire, one of England's hidden treasures and recently trumpeted by ABTA as one of the 10 places in the world to watch, the County offers holiday makers so much: wonderful scenery, fantastic walking, ancient market towns, castles and stately homes, and museums. It is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution back in 1779 when Abraham Darby built the first Iron Bridge, and Much Wenlock is the home of Wenlock Olympic Games, which are thought to have inspired the modern Olympic Games which began in 1896.

Little Springs Farm Cottage is just an hour and a half West of Birmingham, and being only 3.5 miles from Much Wenlock is strategically placed to enjoy all the County has to offer. Our cosy rural cottage is in a truly peaceful secluded location with inspiring views along Wenlock Edge and lots of local wildlife. It is the perfect retreat for a relaxing short break (min 3 Nights) or longer stay and ideally suited for countryside lovers. If you'd like a taste of our wonderful location, have a look at our YouTube video. Shropshire offers great walking: the cottage is situated near the Cross Britain Way and the Jack Mytton Way (one of the longest bridleways in England) or explore Wenlock Edge and the Long Mynd, 4000 acres of spectacular wild countryside. Visit www.shropshiresgreatoutdoors for inspiration.

Spend your days on country walks or browsing the ancient market towns of Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton - to name just a few - or explore the ten exciting Museums in the Ironbridge Gorge. Relax in the evenings at a local pub or just sit on the patio maybe with a BBQ and watch the sun go down over the Shropshire Hills. Or if it gets chilly, you can retire to the cosy living room and watch the flames of the Log Burner. There is just so much to see and do it is hard to squeeze it all into just a few days.

The Cottage has a comfortable sitting/dining room with oak flooring, a beamed vaulted ceiling, exposed original stonework, a feature Clearview wood burning stove and a dedicated WiFi access point. There is a "smart" TV with DVD/CD player, a table-for-two and a large sofa. An archway leads through to a fitted, fully equipped kitchen, with full-sized LPG cooker, dishwasher and under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, together with a microwave, kettle and toaster. A door from the living room opens into a light and airy double bedroom, with a further door leading into the en-suite shower room, with a white suite of WC, vanity basin and large shower. The cottage also offers a secluded and private paved courtyard to the front, with extensive views over Wenlock Edge, a patio table and chairs, and a gas Barbeque. There is private parking opposite.

The rental cost of The Cottage includes bed linen, towels, electricity ( charging of electric vehicles not included and not supported), central heating and two baskets of logs for the wood burner (further logs can be purchased at cost price).

On arrival, you will find a Welcome Pack of milk, bread and a box of eggs laid by our own (or local) free-range chickens, together with initial supplies of tea, coffee and sugar, and household items such as kitchen roll, loo rolls, clingfilm, foil, washing-up liquid etc.

We are dog friendly and are happy to welcome a maximum of two well-behaved dogs at Little Springs Farm by prior arrangement  - please enquire at time of booking. We want your dogs to have as enjoyable a holiday as you, however even the calmest of dogs can panic if left alone in a strange environment, and so to avoid any costly accidents, it is a condition of booking that they are not left alone at any time in The Cottage or on the patio area. We also respectfully request that dogs do not share the bedroom.</p?

Visitors should also bear in mind that The Cottage is surrounded by fields containing animals, many of them very young, and that the normal countryside rules regarding keeping your dogs on a lead should be strictly followed. There are many places in the locality where dogs can be exercised more freely and we'd be happy to advise.</p?

We love to welcome our guests on arrival, and if you can let us know on the day you’re due what time you’re likely to arrive, we’ll make sure we’re there to greet you, introduce you to the cottage and hand over the keys – our check in time is 4p.m., and check out time 10a.m. When visiting The Cottage we strongly recommend that you print out the map on our Directions page and bring it with you - we're not remote, but we are 'out of the way' and users of Satnav alone invariably do not find us.

Since we opened the cottage in 2016, we have not only welcomed guests from all parts of the UK but also from The Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Canada, Singapore and India, with several of them visiting multiple times. So why not share their experience and spend a few days in our cosy country hideaway, use our contact page to ask for more information or to request a quote or, if you wish, go directly to our  Booking Request form.

To comply with legislation The Cottage is a ‘No Smoking’ property.
