Helena N | 5 | Best Holiday Cottage! | Couldn’t recommend this cottage more! Both myself and my partner agreed this is the best holiday we’ve ever had. Both Su and Ron were very welcoming and delightful hosts. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The cottage is up to such a high standard and the location is perfect, even though it’s in a more remote spot, there is so much to do and local amenities are not far at all in a car. | 2024-05-31 |
Annique K | 5 | Stunning cottage in beautiful environment. | This cottage is magical. As soon as you step in, you love it. It feels really as a home and the longer you are in that cottage, the more you love it and want to stay. The owner is very friendly with a passion for the cottage and the people who are staying. It is very high level, in every way. All the luxury is there but with great authenticity and beauty. I enjoyed every minute and I am looking forward to come back. |

Michael S | 5 | The pefect rural retreat | Little Springs Cottage was our base for a week touring Shropshire and the surrounding area. The cottage was well equiped, cosy, clean and very comfortable. We loved waking up to the breath taking views across the sunlit fields and valley to Wenlock edge. After a day sightseeing we looked forward to returning to the cottage to relax and unwind. The cottage was lovely and warm helped by central heating and the wood burner, which we used during our week.
Su and Ron were the perfect hosts, and welcomed us on our arrival, showing us all the facilities of the cottage and giving recommendations for places to visit and eat. We can recommend the Woodbridge Inn near Ironbridge and the Talbot Inn in Much Wenlock. As there is so much to see and do in the area we will definitely be returning again, with the cottage as our base for local walks and more sightseeing. We visited plenty of National Trust and English Heritage properties during the week and of particular note were Brockhampton Estate, Stokesay Castle, Wightwick Manor and Gardens. Further away we also enjoyed Biddulph Grange Gardens, Little Moreton Hall and Powis Castle. Also enjoyed visits to nearby Ironbridge and Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke on Trent Looking forward to a return visit |

Constructive | 5 | Tranquility at its best | If you’re looking for somewhere for a total recharge and love peace, tranquility, views and walks in the countryside, then this little cottage won’t disappoint. It’s a well equipped, very clean, cosy, home from home little cottage where you can do as much or as little as you wish.
There’s fabulous walks from Much Wenlock which is about 5 miles away along with nice places to eat, Wenlock Priory is a very interesting place and dog friendly. Benthall Hall is beautiful and the grounds are dog friendly. Wenlock Edge has beautiful woodland walks. You’re not far from the towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Ironbridge or Bridgnorth. It’s a gem in the Shropshire countryside. Su and Ron are warm, welcoming hosts who can advise on plenty of places to visit. A lovely touch is the fresh milk and bread along with eggs from their own hens for breakfast. This is a cottage you will want to return to. |

Joyce B | 5 | Great place to relax | We have just come back from Little Springs cottage. What a lovely cosy cottage and so peaceful. Everything you could want for a break away from the stresses and strains of daily life. We took our rescue dog Bailey. This was our first time taking away so we wanted somewhere that she could feel comfortable in. She is very skittish and barks when frightened but we had a lovely bark free stay . Thank you Su and Ron for letting us stay in Little Springs we hope to be back soon xx |

J T | 5 | An absolute gem | We were met on arrival by Su and Ron who showed us round the cottage, which was super clean and 100% Covid-safe. The quiet location, looking across to Wenlock Edge, is a delight. The cottage contains everything you could possibly wish for and is wonderfully cosy, especially with the log fire burning. It was a joy to sit outside on a sunny October morning enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio. Much Wenlock, 10-15 minutes drive away, is a lovely small Shropshire town and Wenlock Priory is well worth a visit. As is ‘Tea on the Square’ for a great breakfast or cuppa and cake. There are plenty of English Heritage places to visit and the Ironbridge Gorge Museums are a short drive away. We will be back. |

Sue M | 5 | The perfect holiday cottage | This is a beautiful little cottage in the heart of the Shropshire hills. The perfect place to stay. The owners Su and Ron have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It’s so good , we have stayed here three times ! We love it and our dog does too. There are so many walks and places to go just a short drive from the cottage. We can’t wait to return! | 2021-06-30 |
Paul K | 5 | Fantastic cottage set amongst wonderful countryside. | This cottage is situated in a beautiful rural location with great views over farmland to the Shropshire hills. It is furnished and maintained to a very high standard and is set in a private courtyard. My wife has an illness which makes her vulnerable to any infection let alone Covid but in this property we had no concerns at all, It was very clean and had been sanitised excellently. We have already booked to return which is something we rarely do. |

Dave_Lloyd | 5 | Excellent Chill Out Cottage | As Holiday Cottage owners ourselves we can sometimes be quite critical of the places we stay! Not on this occasion! Su & Ron have thought of everything you may need and more. The cottage has stunning views, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The courtyard is a brilliant sun trap and the surrounding walks are plentiful. What more can we say? Only that we are looking forward to our next visit!
Thank you Su & Ron. |

Ian S | 5 | A Gem Of A Cottage in the heart of the Shropshire Countryside | My first visit to this small detached one bedroom cottage in Kenley near Much Wenlock Shropshire will not be my last.!! Su and Ron who live in the adjacent farm have created an exceptional cottage with first class modern kitchen, bathroom and heating facilities. In the light of the current Covid 19 restrictions for holiday accommodation they have covered every possible requirement for the protection of their guests. The very detailed and comprehensive “Covid 19 Guest Information” gave me full confidence before I had arrived that I would be perfectly safe. The level of equipment in the spotlessly clean cottage was as comprehensive as I have ever seen in a holiday let. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and so for a relaxing break it was perfect. |

Travel19353650876 | 5 | Perfect cottage and so conveniently situated | Whether you want a quiet retreat in beautiful countryside or a lovely cottage for two to visit local attractions or walk in the area this would be a perfect choice. Within easy reach by car are several ancient historical sites, museums relating to the area’s industrial past, interesting towns and the Severn Valley Steam Railway. There are several good eating places in Much Wenlock just 3 miles away. After a day out it was a pleasure to return to a comfortable, cosy cottage with all amenities. Su and Ron, the owners, were extremely welcoming and had taken every possible precaution to ensure our safety in these covid times. We’re now planning to return. . |

psjongsma | 5 | Lovely cottage near Shrewsbury | Little Springs Farm Cottage is an absolute A+ destination. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy a great holiday, from a nice barbecue set to a cosy log burner. It has a well equipped kitchen, good shower and comfortable beds. Shropshire is a beautiful county and you can visit lots of interesting places nearby and go for amazing hikes as well. We have been a guest at Little Springs Farm Cottage for three years in a row now, and are planning to add more visits to our list. | 2020-08-31 |

Julia M | 5 | Cosy cottage | We had a lovely long weekend at the cottage. We found it easily due to clear directions from Ron & Su who met us at the cottage in order to show us around and help with local information. The cottage was lovely and warm as the wood burner was going for us. We were left with bread, milk, fresh eggs and a vase of flowers as well as plenty of wood for our stay. The cottage is beautifully clean and has everything you need in it. It has a well equipped kitchen. There is a TV/DVD player which we used in the evenings and also used it as a radio via the free view radio stations. The bed was really comfortable and it’s so quiet we slept really well! There are plenty of walks from the doorstep and within short car rides. There are lots of historical properties and sites within the local area so plenty to see and do. Our two labradors loved their holiday too! I’m sure we’ll be back! The road from Harley to the cottage was flooded when we were there but we were able to drive our Zafira through slowly without any problems. |

Ian W | 5 | Little Springs Cottage | If you want a haven of peace and tranquility in a beautiful area of Shropshire look no further than Little Springs Cottage. Su & Ron are fantastic hosts and the cottage is very comfortable and well appointed. It’s an excellent base from which to explore the area, there are loads of places to visit locally and some great places to eat. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay. | 2019-08-31 |
Traveler49185339361 | 5 | Beautiful cottage in a beautiful peaceful setting! | Thank you Su & Ron for being kind and helpful hosts and allowing us to share the fantastic views from such a pretty cottage! We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. | 2019-07-31 |
| 2019-06-30 |
Constructive | 5 | Perfect place to chill – you won’t want to leave | I‘Ve reviewed before and I’ll say it again, this is the perfect ‘getaway from it all’ place. It’s set in the most beautiful countryside and is so peaceful and relaxing. Su and Ron are the perfect hosts. You will always receive a warm welcome along with eggs from their own hens, bread and milk. Since my last review, Ron has now replaced the kitchen and it has made an already perfect cottage more perfect. It’s always clean, well kept, lovely towels and crisp linen. There are some lovely walks from the doorstep, or you could drive to Wenlock Edge or Much Wenlock, where you will discover many walks. The area has a fascinating history, well worth a trip if you like tranquility, beautiful scenery and fabulous walks. There’s close by to walk to but there are some fabulous pubs within driving distance. Shrewsbury is a 20 min drive away, I would suggest the park and ride at meole Park, which is very easy to find. It’s a fantastic town rich in history. You can search for the grave of ebenezer Scrooge (famous dickens character if not familiar) in the churchyard of st chads! This is the perfect destination and you won’t want to leave. | 2019-05-31 |
claire211 | 5 | A perfect hideaway | We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in this secluded cottage. It was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away, surrounded by stunning views. The cottage was immaculately clean and we received a lovely welcome from Su and Ron. We are already looking at when we will be able to return! | 2019-05-31 |

So much to see and do in the area that we will have to come back yet again ! The cottage has all the amenities you could wish for and us in such a pretty location. EddyTheBastard | 5 | The perfect place for a romantic getaway. | I can’t praise Su and Ron highly enough. They were the perfect hosts- friendly and welcoming, but without being intrusive. They are a lovely couple.
Their cottage is beautiful and is perfectly situated for visiting Shropshire, which is a wonderful part of the country. There are so many places to visit that we will have to return at some point to carry on exploring. |

RobHawkesworth | 5 | Perfect cosy cottage | Perfect cottage – cosy, clean, well equipped, matched with extremely welcoming hosts. The enclosed garden was very suitable for our dog. Circular walks from both the cottage and nearby Much Wenlock are good and easy to follow. We recommend the circular walk from Benthall to Ironbridge. Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth both worth a visit which must include tea and cake! Loved the cottage and would love to return. | 2018-10-31 |
Dave L | 5 | Super cottage | Just got home after a 4 night stay at Little Springs cottage. Great cottage, well equipped and nicely decorated. We took our dog who was made very welcome. Loved sitting by the fire each night! Would definitely recommend if visiting the area. | 2018-10-31 |

Robboted9 | 5 | Great welcome, lovely cottage | We got a warm and useful welcome, we got shown around and a walk through safety items. The property is cosy and immaculate with all you need including bread, milk and eggs from their own chickens. It’s very quiet there and ideal for relaxing or using as a base for exploring. Try the butchers shop in Bridgenorth for great meat and amazing pies. The weather was terrible but it did not distract us from having a lovely weekend. We will go there again. Thanks Su and Ron |

carole c | 5 | Fabulous Cottage – lovely break | Had a four night stay at this superb little cottage. Great communication whilst booking with Su and the cottage exceeded all expectation. It is warm, clean, comfy sofa & bed, great shower room and has everything you need for a perfect stay. The location is stunning and the patio area lovely and dog safe. Su & Ron are on hand if needed, met us with a warm welcome (including some supplies) but left us to enjoy our stay. We are fans of Shropshire and have stayed in various locations – think we have now found our ‘go to’ holiday home for future trips. | 2018-10-31 |
Constructive | 5 | A little pierce of heaven | This is our 4th stay at the cottage and we’ve already booked for a break next year. It is in the most beautiful, peaceful setting ad we never want to leave. The cottage has everything you need and there is a lovely welcome pack of home laid eggs, bread and milk and along a basket of logs for the log burner. The cottage is cosy and comfortable. You are guaranteed a good nights sleep beneath lovely linen. Since we started coming here Ron has completely redesigned the bathroom and the shower is fantastic! There is plenty to do around the area with lots of walks, within easy driving distance to Shrewsbury, bridgenorth, Ludlow and many other lovely towns. Much Wenlock is a gem of a village with some great circular walks. Su and Ron are the perfect hosts and are on hand if needs be. We will return here again and again for as long as they rent it out ❤️ | 2018-10-31 |
julie l | 5 | Peace and quiet | Our stay at Little Springs Cottage was perfect. It is in the depths of the beautiful Shropshire countryside but not fat from civilisation. Su and Ron are discreet but welcoming hosts who are there should you need them but leave you to it otherwise. There are some great walks, amazing views and old fashioned pubs offering home cooked food. Definitely worth a visit. | 2018-09-30 |
Odyssey802186 | 5 | Little Gem | This is a fantastic little gem 8n the shropshire Country side…the keyword being relaxation.Ron and Sue ,our hosts were fantastic. The cottage was above and beyond and well worth the drive and the money.A home from home with everything you need. This was the perfect romantic getaway for myself and my partner and we will be returning next year. The walks, views and setting was perfect.would highly recommend. | 2018-08-31 |

colingraham55 | 5 | A Lovely place to stay. | Situated in the heart of Shropshire. Little springs cottage was close to so many places of interest. We didn’t spend more than 20 minutes in the car before we were at another lovely location. The cottage and views where stunning. The owners where very welcoming and thoughtful and gave us good pointers to attractions, resteraunts and local shops. | 2018-06-30 |
anniecattie | 5 | A friendly, welcoming couple, super cottage in an idylic setting-what more could you ask for; | We chose cottage for the the proximity to Bridgnorth as we were going to concerts during week but also knew we would have seclusion and places to walk when we could. Another big advantage for us was to have the flexibility of the booking day start in that we did not have to start the week with Friday or Saturday. |

Tim_Manc | 5 | Ideal cottage in a wonderful setting | Returning to Little Springs for our second 3-night stay and it felt good to be back. A quick trip to the supermarket in Much Wenlock and we were ready to settle down for a relaxing, peaceful mini-break in this great little cottage. It’s a perfect place to unwind during the day and the log-burner makes it extra cosy in the evenings. The rural location in Shropshire farmland is superb and the view across the quiet green valley to the long ridge-line of Wenlock Edge is a fine sight to wake up to each morning. Needless to say we intend to return to Little Springs for another visit later in the year. | 2018-04-30 |
bernvines | 5 | Location, location, location. | What an amazing find. So quiet and tranquil with amazing views. Perfect cottage for 2 people with everything you need (and more!). The owners met us on arrival and explained everything to us, and gave us tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and eggs to start us off. We were so comfortable and warm it was like home from home (but with a better shower here). Thank you so much for sharing an amazing breath taking location. | 2018-04-30 |
Martin P | 5 | Stunningly beautiful cottage | Little Springs is a wonderful retreat in stunning surroundings. We received the warmest of welcomes from the owners upon arrival which set us up for a great stay. The owners had left some delicious eggs for us from their own hens and there was a wealth of information about the surrounding area and places to visit. The log burner was another fantastic warm welcome as it was on when we entered the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and we had an amazing stay. We ventured into Much Wenlock whuch is about 10mins from Little Springs and we can highly recommend The Tea Junction & More for a quaint tearoom with fantastic cakes and warm & friendly team. Completely Faultless. | 2018-04-30 |
Rachel A | 5 | Relaxing | Me and partner had a lovely relaxing weekend break. The cottage was supplied with everything we needed and more. The owners were fantastic, they met us there when we arrived and gave us all the information about the cottage and the local area. There are lots of things to do within a short drive, but there is no local transport or taxis in the area so driving is a must. We would definitely return in the future. | 2018-04-30 |
KopsKapers7 | 5 | Peaceful location, super cottage | The quiet location overlooking unspoiled countryside is fabulous. Lots of historic towns nearby and plenty of good restaurants too.The cottage is really well maintained, plenty of space for 2 people. Shiny clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Sue M | 5 | Perfect cottage for a relaxing break away from it all ! | We had a lovely relaxing break in the cottage at Little Springs Farm. The owners Su and Ron were there to meet us on arrival and show us around. They very thoughtfully supplied milk, bread etc for our first nights stay and there was a vase of beautiful yellow roses on the dining table. The cottage was beautifully presented and the fire had been lit for our arrival. So cosy and comfortable – perfect for our four day break away. Our only regret is we didn’t have longer to explore this beautiful county. But we do hope to come back again one day. Thank you so much ! And Lola our labradoodle loved it too ! | 2018-03-31 |
Taffod | 5 | Great Place | Excellent choice!
Superb peaceful location, very rural but with a nice small town nearby, and a country pub in a few minutes drive. But nothing but farmland around in walking distance. Excellent cottage with a real fire and lots of old charm. Very impressed with the reception and the extra finishing touches and treats laid on as it was nearly Christmas / New Year. Will be back again. |

Hazel L | 5 | Everything we could have hoped for | An amazing location with stunning views of Wenlock Edge. The cottage was charming with every detail provided for our comfort and enjoyment. A warm and friendly welcome from the owners, Su and Ron. A particularly nice touch on our arrival on a chilly autumnal evening was a fire already lit in the logburner. This was a truly relaxing short break. Plenty to see and do in the locality. Much Wenlock is a delightful and interesting small town, and, with very mixed weather, Attingham Park (NT) was a most interesting place to visit. | 2017-09-30 |
alidouglas66 | 5 | Look No Further | Little Springs Cottage is a delightful place to stay. Su and Ron are lovely, very friendly hosts. Tim_Manc | 5 | Perfect place to relax | We had a very enjoyable mini-break at Little Springs and hope to return for a longer stay. It’s an ideal location for visiting Shropshire’s many attractions – or for simply chilling out. It’s a wonderfully tranquil spot in a pretty landscape of fields, trees and hedgerows. Su and Ron are very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is neat and cosy, with excellent facilities and a log burner too. On one side you get a fabulous view of Wenlock Edge. On the other side runs a little path running over the fields to the picturesque little church at Kenley. Shops can be found in Much Wenlock which is only a few minutes drive away along the Shrewsbury-Bridgnorth road. | 2017-09-30 |
david p | 5 | Loved our stay at Little Springs! | Little Springs is an attractive, well equipped and cosy cottage with lovely views toward Wenlock Edge, situated on a farm track half way up a gentle hill. We had a lovely week doing some lovely walks right from the cottage door, and visiting some superb local attractions such as Ironbridge (the Victorian town at Blists Hill); Much Wenlock; Benthall Hall(NT) and Bridgnorth. It is our second visit here, welcomed again by Su and Ron, who made sure everything was as it should be. We look forward to coming again soon. |

Has everything you need. Lovely welcome including bread, milk, freshly laid eggs and a vase of lovely yellow roses. Loads of stuff: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet rolls, tea towels, bath towels, all different types of kitchen utensil, oven trays, etc. I would recommend it to anyone. Simply a great little cottage in a really good place. | 2017-08-31 |
Constructive | 5 | Wow what a little gem | Booked a 3 night break to celebrate our anniversary. On arrival we were greeted by Su and Ron who showed us around the beautiful cottage. Such a warm welcome along with welcome gifts of home laid eggs, bread and milk, We couldnt have picked a more tranquil, perfect place. The cottage was well presented, cosy and comfortable. Our two dogs loved it. Stunning sceanery and walks just on the doorstep. Fabulous sunsets and sunrises. There is nothing nearby so take what you need. The closest pub if you want one is the Plume of Feathers about 2 1/2 miles away where we had Sunday lunch which was nice. Much wenlock has plenty of pubs serving food and an array of shops fir local produce. We had the best fish and chips in Bridgnorth just around the corner to the cliff railway. We were sorry to leave but left feeling very chilled. We are hoping to return in October |

tll624 | 4 | Lovely accommodation in beautiful Shropshire countryside | Small, characterful cottage on owners small holding next to a bridle path. Located in lovely countryside but is only a short drive to Much Wenlock. The cottage is well equipped and has an enclosed patio – ideal for outdoor dining. There are lovely views from the cottage over farmland to Wenlock Edge. Owners are very helpful and are close by. Owners provided milk, bread and eggs from their hens on arrival. They also provided fresh flowers in a vase which we thought was a nice touch. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead as the owners have livestock. This is an ideal base for couples who enjoy the peace and quiet and appreciate the beautiful Shropshire countryside. We enjoyed our holiday and will return as soon as we can. |

Barbara18041987 | 5 | Peaceful pet friendly cosy cottage in beautiful countryside | Close to Much Wenlock and walking at Wenlock Edge and Carding Mill, Church Stretton. The cottage is very peaceful set back from a country road up a private lane leading to the farmhouse where the hosts live. The cottage is however very private and is secluded from the hosts property, with its own private patio and is set on a bridle track with surrounding fields. The living area is all in one, sofa, table and chairs and kitchen area, with a log burner which would be lovely in the winter months. There is a door to a very comfortable double bed with ensuite. The cottage is pet friendly with an enclosed patio area for the dog (small dogs may be able to get under the gate). The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and a welcome pack is included (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, bread, milk and a pack of eggs laid by their own free range chickens -a lovely touch). A very good rental for a peaceful stay, ideal for walkers or those visiting the Shropshire villages such as Shrewsbury, Iron Bridge, Bridnorth etc. I am sure we will return. | 2017-06-30 |

Stay677039 | 5 | Lovely cosy accommodation | Enjoyed our short stay at Little Springs Farm Cottage. Lovely welcome from owners and we appreciated the eggs, milk and fresh flowers on arrival. The wood burner was prepared ready for our arrival, and easy to light. Cosy, clean cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet location which we loved. Didn’t have to travel far to enjoy this beautiful area. Would advise future guests to follow the excellent directions given by the owners as we went straight there, no problem. | 2016-10-31 |

kebabsi | 4 | perfect relaxing break | The property is found down a country lane and offers stunning natural views of the surrounding Shropshire countryside, with plenty of choice for walks across the fields (as long as you don’t mind sharing with a variety of local animals!) Polly had lit the logburner in anticipation of our arrival and the cottage was warm, cosy and welcoming with everything we needed for a tranquil getaway. The bed was especially comfortable. We had such a lovely relaxing break it was a shame to leave. |

TimSh2014 | 4 | Beautiful, quiet location | Very nice self-contained cottage in the Shropshire countryside. About 5km from the nearest town, down narrow country lanes, in a very quiet secluded location. The owner lives nearby and there are lots of domestic animals around.
Limited and very slow internet access, but that’s a minor point – this is a great place to escape from the world but within reach of pubs, towns and tourist attractions. |

Paul G | 4 | Wonderful Little Haven! | We stayed during February half term holiday and were pleasantly surprised that the special winter mid-week 4 night rate remained the same. We arrived to be personally greeted by Polly the owner, who had prior to our arrival lit the log burner which made the cottage very warm and welcoming. The only problems we encountered during our stay was a fault with the boiler that was soon sorted out and the washing machine was out of order. However, Polly very kindly offered to take a load of washing for us and even dried it! Our dog also had a wonderful holiday and loved lying in front of the log burner each evening. Are definitely planning to return! |
